Gardner closes on deal to fund expansion

The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum closed today on a $35 million tax exempt bond deal to help fund a major expansion and restoration project.

The fixed rate bonds, sold through a public offering and underwritten by Barclays Capital, were issued through the Massachusetts Health and Educational Facilities Authority.
