Girl Talk speaks volumes

Gregg Gillis could have called his one-man band Thievery Corporation, but that name was taken.

The less-descriptive moniker he chose was Girl Talk, after a song by the defunct grunge band, Tad. Gillis’ instrument is a computer and he’s a mad scientist of sampling, a master of the mashup.
