Greece: Clashes at student protests

ATHENS, Greece - Police in Greece say clashes have broken out during a student protest in central Athens, with youths damaging at least six banks and storefronts.

The small group of violent protesters broke away from the rally attended by some 4,000 people Thursday in opposition the conservative government’s education policy. Police say at least 12 people were detained, but reported no injuries.
