LIMA, Peru - Leaders of 21 nations in Asia and the Americas said Saturday that the world’s top economies must resist protectionist measures — no matter how punishing the global downturn gets.
At a summit in Peru, the leaders sought to build on last weekend’s Group of 20 summit in Washington, which proposed that nations commit to not erecting new trade barriers over the next 12 months.
