By Associated Press
Friday, November 21, 2008 -

MASTIC, New York - New York police say they’ve arrested three people accused of spray painting about 40 vehicles with racist graffiti, including messages targeting President-elect Barack Obama.

The incident occurred Nov. 12 in Mastic, Long Island, just days after an Ecuadorean immigrant was fatally stabbed in a confrontation with seven teenagers in Patchogue, about 10 miles (16 kilometers) away.
