Car chase driver dies in crash

LEWISTON, Maine - A high-speed police chase on the Maine Turnpike ended when the car cops were pursuing crashed and burst into flames, killing the driver.

A state trooper began chasing the car driven by Luis Andrades-Garcia at around 7:30 p.m. Thursday after getting reports of an erratic driver. They say the car was going over 100 mph and crashed at a construction site in Lewiston. WCSH-TV reports Andrades-Garcia did not have a driver’s license and recently had done time on a drug conviction.
