Mitt Romney adds auto industry bailout to flip-flops
The guy who began his unsuccessful presidential run at the Henry Ford Museum, standing beside a Nash Rambler, yesterday weighed in on the current bailout proposals for the auto industry.
“If General Motors, Ford and Chrysler get the bailout that their chief executives asked for yesterday, you can kiss the American automotive industry goodbye,” wrote former Gov. Mitt Romney on the oped page of The New York Times [NYT]. “It won’t go overnight, but its demise will be virtually guaranteed.”
