’Reaching out and touching someone’ leads to arrest

The mortgage crisis, already the cause of widespread fears and despair, led to fisticuffs and an arrest Tuesday, cops said.

Police said a Brighton man lost control over an alleged financial disagreement with his roommate Tuesday morning, when he began punching her and beating her with a phonebook. The man was upset that the apartment was being foreclosed on and unleashed his rage on his roommate, according to the police report.
