BOSTON — Gov. Deval Patrick wants to expand the state’s ability to collect taxes on Internet sales to help make up for an estimated $1 billion budget shortfall.
The Boston Globe reports Tuesday that the state could collect up to $15 million more per year under a plan submitted to the Legislature by Revenue Commissioner Navjeet Bal. The administration is asking lawmakers to approve the plan by the end of this year.

Expand internet sales tax? You mean, create it? I believe this was already ruled unconstitutional in other states that tried this, but this is a constitution free commmonwealth. Tax addicts are like drug addicts, once they get in the hole, they start looking around for whatever isn't nailed down to steal to pay for their habit.

U.S. Constitution, Article I, Section 9, Clause 5: "No Tax or Duty shall be laid on articles exported from any State."
This hackhole keps sniffing under every rock to find ways to punish businesses for being in MA. What would I do if I had a distribution center in MA and I was about to get taken in this scam- move it out. Fine- I'll just buy online from states that don't participat- you know like going to NH for cigarettes. A-Hole inept incompetent buffoon. Do business in this state and the one party rule in certain to drive you out. Look at Fidelity

Only 4 comments on an unconstitutional tax hike, yep, this is Massachusetts. We are officially a Constitution-free zone. I only wish the masses were this complacent on election day and stayed home instead of reelecting this group of liberals gone wild.
