Stabbing victim psychiatrist said to be improving
The “grateful” husband of a Massachusetts General Hospital doctor nearly stabbed to death last week on the job reports she “continues to improve every day.”
Though still hospitalized, Dr. Astrid Desrosiers “wants to get well quickly so she can get back to her patients. She cares about all of them so much,” Claude Desrosiers said in a statement.

d I hope you get better soon and you're home with your family and friends, Dr. Astrid.
Very gracious remarks by the husband. He's a class act.
Dr. Derosier is such a wonderful person. She is a major part of helping the women at Aid To Incerated mothers. I pray for her and the women who have to be without their doctor's support as well as struggle with this tragedy. I don't know if everyone knows about the good deeds Dr. Derosier does in human service. Please join me in keeping her and all those effected by this lifted up in prayer.
Well done Mr. Derosier and god bless your beautiful wife - Great news she is recovering! Thank you for the kind words for Paul Langone, a hero to all...
conscientious, sounds like you have some direct association. I do not. But my thoughts and prayers go out to both families.
Our prayers and thoughts are offered up for both families.
I will never know how it feels to have had to shoot another person for the 'greater good.' Im sure it's not a great feeling.
We all want to see things in black and white, good v. evil. Like in the movies. Most of the time, though, it's just not that simple.
The young man who shot him will have to live live with this for all his days. It's not a burden I relish.
They say that most cops never fire their guns over their entire careers. Maybe so, maybe not.
But sometimes a bullet can prevent much more innocent pain than the guilty life it takes.

Could you please provide me with the location of Aid to Incarcerated mothers. I would like to know more about this organization. I'm also pleased that an organization like that exists.
Wonderful to read the doctor is recovering. What a horrible experience for everyone involved. I am sure it is not easy dealing with patients who need mental illness care. May all the families and friends find the strength to get past this and find some comfort.
