4 retired horses have new home, thanks to inmates

PLYMOUTH — Four retired racehorses from Suffolk Downs have a new home and some new people to take care of them.

Inmates in the Plymouth County corrections department helped build stalls in a barn on the sheriff’s department farm. And they’ll take care of up to 40 horses as the program expands.
