Capello offered England job

LONDON — The Football Association approved the appointment of Fabio Capello as England’s new soccer coach Thursday, pending final contract negotiations.

The FA board approved the hiring of the former AC Milan, AS Roma and Real Madrid coach. But both sides must still finalize the terms of the contract.
